Supervision

Mike Andrews has been passionate about homeopathic supervision for many years now and supervised many students and practitioners over those years.

Supervision for students & practitioners of homeopathy

I have recently been implementing a number of new tools into my supervision practice.

New supervision groups starting in Warnham and London in September 2011, also spaces available for individual supervision.

As homeopaths we so often bring paper cases to supervision and talk about them on an intellectual level. I have found that it can be very helpful to look at cases or practice issues in a more intuitive way. This can be done by using 'creative supervision' techniques such as modeling with toys or pebbles, rather like constellations work, if that is something that you are familiar with. Working in this way can bring about deeper insights into the issue more quickly than conventional supervision techniques.

I am also now offering live case supervision (2hr package £80, you receive the patients fee), 30 minutes telephone supervision before meeting to fill me in on the case, I will retake the case for an hour, then we will re-analyse the case together.

Supervision can also be used to:

  • learn more about contracting
  • to develop reflective practice
  • experience triad work
  • to look at parallel process
  • to promote your practice
  • to assist with admin, therapeutics, case management and practice management
  • to look at different roles, wearing three hats or 12 hats!
  • portfolio support, practice support

I am able to offer supervision in Warnham and London or via Skype with webcam.

SUPERVISION - So you're interested in Supervision ?

I asked people that I had supervised if they could write about their experience of supervision with me, this is what some supervisee's had to say:

"thank you for being a fantastic supervisor while I was on the course - always great feedback and good ideas, as well as stuff to read."
Frances Richardson

"I have known Mike for many years and value him as a competent and experienced homeopath. Mike has contributed to our profession by publishing an ebook on Hayfever and Homeopathy useful for students and practitioners alike. Mike and I shared some 6 years working together as part of a team on the BSc(Hons) Integrated Health; Homoeopathy course at the University of Westminster where Mike was a much respected clinical tutor and supervisor. Over the years he has supervised many students and practitioners and is now a renowned independent supervisor."
